INTRODUCTION:
This plant is normally planted as a landscape/decorative plant, especially in the Malay villages in Malaysia. The flowers are almost identical to the Cananga flower, with a pungent and sweet smell similar to a banana flower?s scent or a ripe Cooking Banana. The colors will change from a shade of green during its younger stage to a yellow-green shade when ripe. It is able to reproduce with two different methods; which is by stem cutting (usually having the Grafting method or tutting method to work better) and by seedlings. The fruits come in clusters which is held by a stalk and the shapes are oval with a pointed end. Its contents are soft and thinner, while the size of the seeds are almost equal to the size of the fruit.
